Social and Recreational Activities

A vibrant living environment is one where seniors can continue their routines in ways that reflect their habits, values and life experiences while staying connected with the people around them. At Le Beaulieu, we make this possible through a wide range of social, cultural and recreational activities that bring together residents, loved ones, staff, volunteers and the broader community.

These initiatives engage and enrich residents’ lives, support their mental and emotional health, and help them maintain — and even strengthen — their social ties. There are art workshops where they can express their creativity, games that let them have fun and keep their minds sharp, and dance and exercise classes to encourage an active lifestyle and promote physical well-being. With so many options, residents are bound to find activities that make them feel happy, fulfilled and energized. It’s not just about filling time — it’s about creating meaningful opportunities that bring joy and a sense of purpose within a warm and supportive community.

The Neighbourhood

Urban Comfort in the Heart of Montréal-Nord

The Sault-au-Récollet neighbourhood in Montréal-Nord is teeming with character and history — a community where heritage, nature and urban vitality converge into a vibrant tapestry. One of the oldest settlements on the island of Montreal, Sault-au-Récollet is home to several historically significant landmarks such as Église de la Visitation as well as some breathtaking natural scenery alongside the Rivière des Prairies and the Parc-nature de l’Île-de-la-Visitation.

The neighbourhood is in the midst of a revitalization, with the addition of modern infrastructure that will elevate the overall quality of life. It is quiet and relaxing, but at the same time conveniently close to a whole host of city amenities, which is why it is a popular choice for families, professionals and seniors alike. The peaceful atmosphere, balanced lifestyle and proximity to several major transit facilities (Montréal-Nord–Saint-Michel commuter rail station, bus routes and the Fleury stop on the Pie-IX rapid bus line) make it an exceptionally convenient and appealing location.
